Introduction

The Diploma in digital electronics is a specialized short course designed to provide students with a strong foundation in digital electronics and its practical applications. Offered by the School of Physics, the program supports the School’s mission to deliver high-quality education and skill development aligned with current technological demands. This course addresses the growing importance of digital electronics in academic and industrial sectors and empowers physics graduates with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to compete effectively in digital electronics and related engineering fields.

Objectives

  • To impart comprehensive knowledge of digital electronic circuits and systems.
  • To develop practical skills in digital circuit design and electronic troubleshooting.
  • To enable students to construct, simulate, and test various digital logic circuits using standard components.
  • To strengthen students’ understanding of digital logic families, fault detection, and circuit optimization techniques.
  • To prepare students for advanced study, teaching, or industrial roles in related fields.

Career Path

  • Repair technician will be -able to diagnose and repair LED circuit and power supply.
  • Lab technician / assistant – assisting in college or industrial Labs.
  • Field service technician for maintenance electronic equipments in hospitals and offices.  
  • Assistant electrical installer-supporting roles in installation of electrical control system.
  • PCB assemblers/ technician involve in manual or semi-automated assembling of circuit boards.
